The unique pattern of the VP6 rug is based on two geometric figures, circle and square. At the VP6 rug in darkblue blue these round and angular elements are arranged to an interesting pattern, which transmits a certain three-dimensionality. The colours darkblue and blue emphasize the contrasting interplay and make the VP6 carpet in darkblue blue to be a design classic of timeless elegance and value.
Pattern VP6 is one part of Geometri, the most famous pattern design by Verner Panton from 1960. In the same year, in which Verner Panton sketched the pattern Geometri, he lined out two objects with it. He formed the showroom for the textile company Unika Vaev in New York / USA completely in black-and-white. Geometri in red–orange dominated the ambitious interior design in the Hotel Restaurant Astoria in Trondheim / Norway. While Verner Panton sketched Geometri already in 1960, the general public discovered this form of decoration not until end of the 1960s. This makes it clear, what Verner Panton was: a mentor and pioneer of the big epoch of Pop Art Design.
Geometric patterns, brought onto home textiles, were a major issue in the 1960s and are now back up to date. All still available versions of the fabric decor VP6 in darkblue blue are available as originals at design interior specialist TAGWERC. One of the most well-known pattern of Mid Century Art Epoch sets an elegant accent in your home: whether in the living room, dining room, bedroom or hallway – like Verner Panton himself used the pattern during his lifetime.
