FUN 1TM is a table lamp from the Mother of Pearl series of Danish designer Verner Panton. Mother of Pearl, the name of this lighing series, which Verner Panton drafted in 1964, could not have been better chosen. Nobly seeming round shell strings are connected by small metal rings to long chains with different lengths. The, in this way achieved, indirect light flatters its environment. When the wind hits the FUN 1TM table lamp from the FUN family, not just the surrounding is illuminated. The FUN 1TM table lamp also plays a charming melodie.

Fun 1TM MOP

FUN SHELL 1TM was designed in 1964 as part of a whole range of luminaires by designer Verner Panton. Panton, known for Pop Art Design, applied a simple and ingenious design concept to the FUN 1TM table lamp. Countless shell discs are forming the dynamic lamp body. The translucent shells of the FUN 1TM table lamp are hanging down from three metal rings, cover the bulb and provide an indirect, glare-free light. At the same time the ambient is atmospherically lighted by the table lamp FUN 1TM. This creates a unique light and shadow play. Bedside lamp, light accent on a sideboard, loosening up a bookcase – the table lamp FUN 1TM is in almost every room and at any place an eyecatcher.

The glossy chromed frame of the FUN 1TM table lamp has three metal rings, which increase in size from top to bottom, to which different lengths of chains with shell discs are hung. With a diameter of 40 centimeters and a height of 65 centimeters, the FUN 1TM table lamp can be operated with a light source of up to 60 watts. The heat development of the light source and the air circulation in the room influence the movement of the shell discs. This sounds a subtle melody, similar to a wind chime.

With a transparent cable, that has an on off switch, and is simply plugged into the socket, the FUN 1TM table lamp can be activated quickly after delivery and used flexibly.
